“Xinjiang is my poem and distant place, and it is where my dream begins.” Yang Kexin said, “Xinjiang has changed my life, made me more precipitate, and it made my heart quieter and made me change. Must be stronger."

In 2012, Yang Kexin worked in Hami, Xinjiang. "Because of the Lop Nur neighbor to the south of Hami, there are all over the Gobi Desert. There are many kinds of stone such as Fengling Stone, Gobi Jade, Mudstone, Colored Jade, and Agate on the Gobi Desert. Many people go to the Gobi Desert to pick up rocks. I am also affected by it. In this way, he began to like stones, and often used weekends and holidays to go to the Gobi Desert to pick up various favorite stones.” Yang Kexin said. When Shi You met with Meteorite when he was eating, he was deeply attracted. After that, she began her tour of hunting.

Whenever she has time, she will go to the Gobi Desert with her friends to find meteorites. “The place we went to most was Lop Nur, because there were Gobi deserts everywhere, and the terrain there was more suitable for discovering meteorites.”

In the five years of work at Hami, the distance between the desert and the Gobi Desert was nearly 100,000 kilometers. Passed through the Kumutaget meteorites scattered belt, the Alatag Meteorites scattered stone belt, the earth teeth meteorite scattered belt, etc., but also to Turpan, Taklimakan Desert, Qinghai Cliff.

Yang Kexin and several friends set up a team of hunters, equipped with walkie-talkies, GPS, satellite phones and other equipment.

According to Yang Kexin, when meteorite fell, it fell through the burning explosion of the atmosphere to the ground, so the meteorite would have features such as melting shell, gas seal, and turtle crack. "When I first started hunting, I was also inexperienced. I often don't know the exact equivalence between iron ore. After a long time, I will be able to distinguish clearly and accumulate experience." Yang Kexin said, "A total of five years in Hami. There are more than 600 pieces of meteorites weighing nearly 400 kilograms."

In 2017, Yang Kexin returned to Guiyang with his “off-the-world visitor” who risked his life and returned to Guiyang. At the suggestion of his friend, Yang Kaixin opened a Guizhou Sui Shi Cultural Science Museum. In the museum, there are more than 300 kinds of different types of meteorite such as olive chert and earth ivory, as well as bracelets, necklaces, pendants, bracelets and other accessories made from some of the rubble that have been picked up.

Nowadays, people visit the Guizhou Meteorite Culture Science Museum every day to learn about meteorites. “Mainly stone lovers and astronomy enthusiasts are the main people. There are not many ordinary people to visit.”

“We want to use the media’s propaganda to enter the campus, enter the community, and cooperate with more educational institutions and social organizations to carry out popularization and lectures on popular science knowledge. We will implement the popular science popularization campaign and let more people understand the meteorite. We hope to attract more astronomy enthusiasts and people to come in close contact and experience the mysteries of the universe. We will make every effort to promote the popular science activities in Guizhou, said Yang Kexin.
