     In China, the holidays of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the National Day, and the Golden Week usually fall close together.This year's Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays are combined into an eight-day holiday, which is set to usher in a new tourism peak.

    

    According to China's booking platform Ctrip, the long holiday is anticipated to sustain the summer boom in long-haul travel, with cross-provincial travel orders for the National Day accounting for 73% of the total, a ten percentage point increase from the 2022 level. Northwestern regions, known for their autumnal beauty, have emerged as the favoured destination for long-haul trips. Moreover, data from the RV service platform reveals that flexible RV self-driving tours have gained substantial popularity thanks to the long holiday.

    According to a recent forecast from China's platform RV2GOfor RV travel during the current long holiday, demand for RV tours during this year's golden holiday has significantly surged.

    "As of mid-September, our platform's RV booking volume has grown by more than 100% compared to the same period in 2022, with reservations for popular areas like Xinjiang, Qinghai and Gansu increasing by over 8.5 times," said a director from RV2GO. This year, the main customer base for RV travel during the holiday consists of those born in the 70s and the 80s, with the spacious, comfortable, and fully-equipped C-type RV80 and RV90 being the top choices due to the high demand for autumn sightseeing and home-visiting.

    In terms of the travel distance, as of mid-September, long-haul RV travel orders for the National Day have accounted for over 90% of the total, with an average booking duration of 7.14 days. This implies that most RV travellers will "fully utilize" their holidays, indulging in the pursuit of an ideal life. Additionally, about 10% of users have taken additional annual leave for their trip, with the RV rental period extending over eight days.

    This year, RV self-driving hotspots remain in the northwestern and southwestern regions, with Xinjiang, Qinghai, Gansu, Sichuan, and Yunnan maintaining their craze during the summer vacation. Furthermore, as the autumn falls, trips to view the autumn scenery have been well received, and the popularity of destinations like Kanas, Altay, Jiuzhaigou, and Daocheng Yading Nature Reservehas soared, with related product searches and consultation volumes on the RV platform increasing by over 300% in the past month.

    Notably, except for the northwest and southwest, some famous tourist cities like Shanghai, Beijing, and Xi'an also appear on the popular list for RV holiday travel. Analysts believe that these cities, with their own facilities and tourist resources, are more suitable for RV family tours. As the host city of the 19th Asian Games, Hangzhou has also seen an uptick in travel demand during the eight-day holiday, with inquiries about RV tours in Hangzhou nearly doubling in the past month.

    

    "As a new form of travel, RV travel is gaining popularity among consumers. It not only allows people to enjoy the pleasure of driving but also provides a comfortable living experience," said Yang Songbai, General Manager of RV2GO, adding that RV travel has gradually become a lifestyle, which will meet users' demands for more affordable travel in the future.

    In anticipation of the booming Golden Week, RV platforms have launched long-term booking discounts as well as limited-time special deals and strengthened the preparation and maintenance of their products. They will also dynamically allocate vehicle resources nationwide to cater to the holiday travel demand and create more personalized travel products.

    Industry insiders pointed out that RV self-driving tours, as one of the most popular travel methods in recent years, are expected to maintain high demand as the trend for customized and personalized tourism further develops in the second half of the year.

    八天中秋国庆长假催热房车自驾游

    即将到来的中秋国庆黄金周,长达8天的假期即将创造新的旅游高峰。

    根据携程预测,长假期使得长线游市场有望延续暑期热度,国庆跨省游订单占比达到73%,较2022年同期提升十个百分点,适合赏秋的西北地区成为长线游的热门目的地。另据房车服务平台数据,在长假期的加持下,行程灵活自由的房车自驾游受到不少人青睐。

    根据房车生活家最新发布的国庆房车出游前瞻,今年国庆黄金周期间,房车出游需求激增明显。

    “截至9月中旬,平台房车预订量比2022年同期增长超100%,新疆、青甘等部分热门地区预订同比增长超8.5倍,”相关负责人透露,今年“十一”黄金周,房车出行主力客群以70后、80后为主,基于赏秋出游及返乡需求的旺盛,空间大、舒适感强、设施完备的C型房车 RV80、RV90是更多用户的出行首选。

    从出行距离来看,截至9月中旬,国庆房车长线游订单占比超9成,平均预订时长为7.14天,这意味着大多数选择房车出行的用户都将“用满”假期,纵情追寻诗与远方。此外,约10%的用户额外请年假出行,房车租期在8天以上。

    今年国庆房车自驾热门地仍以西北、西南等省份为主,新疆、青海、甘肃、四川、云南延续暑期市场热度。此外,步入秋季,各地赏秋行程受到青睐,喀纳斯、阿勒泰、九寨沟、稻城亚丁等赏秋目的地热度攀升,近一个月来,相关产品在房车平台上的搜索及咨询量环比增长超300%。

    值得关注的是,除西北和西南外,一些著名的旅游城市也在国庆房车出行热门榜中,如上海、北京、西安等地。分析认为,这些城市自身的设施条件及旅游资源更适合房车亲子游。作为第19届亚运会的主办地,杭州在国庆期间的出行需求也在近期看涨,近1个月杭州房车出游咨询量环比增长近2倍。

    “房车旅行作为一种新的旅行方式,越来越受到消费者青睐。它既可以让人们享受到驾驶的乐趣,又能提供舒适的居住体验,”房车生活家总经理杨松柏表示,房车旅行已逐渐成为一种生活方式,未来将满足用户更多平价出游的需求。

    据悉,为迎接火爆的黄金周,房车平台在推出长线预订折扣、限时优惠套餐等之余,还加强了对车队的整备和维保,同时将在全国范围内动态调配车辆资源,迎合国庆出游需求打造更多个性化旅游产品。

    业内人士指出,房车自驾旅行作为近年来深受人们欢迎的旅游方式之一,在下半年定制化和个性化旅游趋势进一步加强的情况下,有望维持高水平需求。
